The Jonathan Clark House is hosting an open house with make-and-take holiday ornaments on Saturday, December 2, from 9:00 AM– 1:00 PM. The free, family event will provide both children and adults the opportunity to create paper angel and pretzel ornaments. Tours of the 1848 house that brings to life the history of our early settlers will also be available. The Jonathan Clark House is a historic house located at 13615 N. Cedarburg Road in Mequon. The Greek Revival-style house, constructed of fieldstone with a limestone front, was built in 1848 for Jonathan Clark who migrated to the area in 1839. The home was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 2, 1982. An aggressive preservation and restoration process is currently underway. Advance registration is not required. The event is free and open to the public. The museum is not handicap accessible at this time.
