Two Weeks Away: Mequon's Jewish Food Festival Returns Bigger Than Ever with New Venue, Sunset Concert & Thousands Expected

MEQUON, WI — With just two weeks to go, excitement is building for the 8th Annual Jewish Food Festival, presented by the Peltz Center for Jewish Life. Taking place Sunday and Monday, August 2–3, at its new home, Foxtown Station, this year's festival is expected to welcome more than 7,500 attendees for two days of authentic Jewish cuisine, live entertainment, family activities, and cultural experiences.

Now in its eighth year, the Jewish Food Festival has become one of southeastern Wisconsin's most anticipated summer events. Its move to Foxtown Station provides expanded space for more food vendors, entertainment, interactive experiences, and comfortable gathering areas while preserving the welcoming atmosphere that has made the festival a community favorite.

Festival guests can enjoy freshly prepared Jewish favorites including towering pastrami sandwiches, corned beef, falafel, matzah ball soup, potato knishes, babka, rugelach, and more, all prepared under Glatt Kosher supervision. Beyond the food, visitors will find live music throughout both days, cooking demonstrations, an immersive Jewish Holiday Experience, children's activities, challah braiding, inflatables, a petting zoo, foam party, artisan experiences, and interactive cultural exhibits designed for all ages.

One of this year's biggest additions is the Sunday Night Sunset Concert, presented by Sendik's Food Market, featuring internationally acclaimed Jewish band 8th Day. Known for their energetic performances blending rock, funk, soul, and traditional Jewish music, 8th Day will take the main stage at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in what promises to be one of the festival's signature moments.

The concert is free and open to the public. Reserved seating is available for $18, while general seating remains first come, first served.

"This year truly marks a new chapter for the festival," said Rabbi Moshe Luchins, Director of the Jewish Food Festival. "With our beautiful new venue, expanded experiences, incredible food, and a headline concert featuring 8th Day, we're creating a destination event for families from across southeastern Wisconsin to experience Jewish culture in a fun, welcoming, and memorable way."

Admission to the festival is free. The festival runs from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. both Sunday and Monday at Foxtown Station, 6209 W. Mequon Road. Free parking is available nearby, with premium parking available on-site for $5.
