MEQUON HEAT PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Mequon HEAT provides a more competitive outlet for skilled and interested MTLL baseball and softball players and others from our local community. Teams are aged-based: for baseball, as of April 30 of the current year, and for softball, as of December 31 of the previous year. Mequon HEAT looks to field baseball teams for six age levels (U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, and U14) and softball teams for three age levels (Girls U10, U12 and U14).
Teams are selected via tryouts that typically occur in late July or early August.
HEAT players are not required to play MTLL. HEAT teams generally practice indoors during the 2-3 months leading up to the season and then on various nights once the season begins. Games are generally played on weekends and include tournaments around Milwaukee and sometimes outside the local area. HEAT teams will play between 20-35 games, or 5-10 tournaments.
