TITLE: Campaign Manager
STATUS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-Time

PROFILE:
Mequon Nature Preserve is at an exciting moment in its history. After 25 years of sustained growth
and progressive restoration of its 400+ acre campus, MNP is embarking on a transformational project,
transforming the historic properties on its land into an education center that grows MNP’s capacity for
education and community involvement and paves the way for the long-awaited restoration of the
Trinity Creek corridor. This capital project will grow and improve MNP’s programs, operations, and
profile, while furthering its mission to restore land and water to its pre-agricultural state.
Part of a small but mighty team, the Campaign Manager will be lead the administrative aspects of the
transformational capital campaign that will make this vision possible. Responsibilities include prospect
research, fundraising analytics tracking, event coordination, solicitation material development, grant writing, gift entry, and some general administrative duties. This position will report to the MNP
Executive Director, who serves as the primary donor-facing fundraiser for the campaign.
A successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented and process-driven. Additionally, the
candidate should have fundraising experience and be comfortable supporting fundraising from a
position that does not engage in direct solicitation. Finally, this role will be part of a small, close-knit
team, and MNP is seeking someone who can contribute to positive, can-do culture.
DUTIES:
Capital Campaign: 80%
• Works very closely with the ED, COO, Board of Directors, and consultants to execute
successful $10M+ capital campaign.
• Prepare and edit correspondence including reports, grant proposals, presentations, budgets,
and other documents as needed.
• Support the Executive Director in solicitation efforts, including setting up donor interactions,
preparing materials, and ensuring follow-up.
• Conduct prospect and market research to support the expansion of MNP’s prospect base.
• Attend and record minutes for Campaign Cabinet meetings. Support in the execution of followup action items.
• Manage gift processing, naming opportunity tracking, donor recognition, and stewardship
plans
• Lead coordination of all aspects of campaign events, from building invitation lists, managing
RSVPs, overseeing logistics, supporting program and development and
• Manage donor files, communications (birthday, anniversary, holiday, and special donor
mailings,), interactions, and accurately track in database. This includes gift entry.
• Develop and provide regular activity reports and assist with updating campaign revenue
reports and forecasts.
Administration: 10%
• Handle travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodations and creating detailed
itineraries. (Average 1-4 trips/year)
• Attend MNP Board and Committee meetings, support logistics and record minutes.
• Monitor email communications, ensuring a timely response for the ED
Operational responsibilities: 10%
• Assist volunteer activities as requested by the staff.
• Assist in all special events as assigned.
• Assist in keeping the PieperPower Education Center in a presentable condition.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in relatable field.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral and written skills.
• Strong planning, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
• High level of competency in the use of personal computers and development software.
• Demonstrated knowledge in navigating a donor database, reporting and fund development
ethics and industry standards.
• Ability to analyze donor data and create revenue reports to communicate trends, performance
and objectives.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Bloomerang or other donor database experience
required.
• Maintains absolute confidentiality and discretion while regularly dealing with sensitive
information and issues.
• Must have excellent communication skills.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be willing to work occasional evening and weekend events as needed.
• Involves some physical effort, i.e. some standing, walking, and light lifting (5-10 pounds); and
dexterity in use of fingers, limbs, or body in the operation of office equipment. Involves
extended periods of time at a keyboard.
