The Project Manager assumes the responsibility for bringing a project to completion on time and in budget, balancing the customers and MSI General's needs for a mutually successful project. This position ensures all team members, clients, subcontractors and consultants are kept informed and updated on job progress. The Project Manager works with team members, making adjustments as necessary and forecasting upcoming critical events.

Basic Qualifications - Required:
- B.S. degree in Construction Management, Engineering or advanced training in construction-related Project Management through accredited sources.
- Successful experience as a Superintendent or Project Manager on multiple construction projects over 5years
- Demonstrated abilities to manage complex projects and work with multiple superintendents, subcontractors, and owners while maintaining profitability on projects
- Demonstrated communication skills and ability to organize the many facets of a project
- Valid driver’s license
- OSHA 10 hour safety training
- Advanced training in Project Management through accredited sources
- Coordinate all pre-construction services on assigned projects, including risk management, municipal approvals, creating and managing project schedules, and working with Estimating during the bidding & project buy-out period
- Work with the superintendent on site coordination, long lead items and day-to-day project execution
- Manage priorities & decision making matrix to prevent project delays
- Timely execution of owner & subcontractor change orders and/or field changes
- Attend project meetings, and run the core client meetings from pre-construction to post-construction
- Actively involved in development of Project Superintendents
- Proposal assistance and assembly, including to help prepare and edit bidding instructions, bid list, and qualify subcontractor bids
- Project tracking for continued maintenance of project costs and subcontract and/or change order preparation and issuance
- Assist Sales Department with budget assembly to qualify sales prospects
- Attend owner meetings with Project Executives, as requested (or set up individual meetings as needed)
- Prepare agenda, arrange and run weekly team meetings as required for prospect
- Attend job meetings, support Project Superintendents, prepare meeting agendas, draft and finalize meeting minutes when necessary, and follow up of action items with project team
- Work with Sales Department to analyze all required items to start a project
- Track team duties, responsibilities and agreed to completion dates to ensure on-time delivery
- Assist in developing the front end schedules for accurate road map timeline
- Day to day project management duties: emails, timely follow through, invoice approval, etc.
- Responsible for project close-out, including overseeing punch list completion, as-built package delivery and client follow-up
- General knowledge of all aspects of construction , including, but not limited to: site work, concrete, masonry, steel erection, finishes, and MEP’s
- Understanding of safety rules and regulations
- Knowledge of building codes
- Understanding of project accounting and subcontracting
- Computer skills in key areas such as Excel, Smartsheet, Word, Viewpoint, Outlook etc.
- Project coordination of Estimators, Architects and Administrative personnel, etc.
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to apply lessons learned
