Visitors can enjoy delicious Jewish ethnic foods, live music, activities and family-friendly entertainment both days of the festival.
Peltz Center For Jewish Life Mequon presents the 6th annual Jewish Food Festival for the Mequon area. Food offerings include stuffed cabbage, chicken matzah ball soup, falafel shwarma, apple turnover, chocolate babka. Of course, you can't forget the Jewish deli basics that come with a kosher pickle, pastrami, corned beef and turkey sandwiches.
Two dinnertime specials will be offered during the festival. Sunday and Monday from 5 to 7 p.m .
Again this year, festival-goers can visit the interactive Jewish Food Festival Shtetl and learn about life in an 1800s Jewish village. In the Shtetl, visitors can explore interactive workshops and activities like learning how to write Hebrew letters with a quill, making matzah, crafting things from leather, candle making and challah braiding. Guests can also check out a shofar horn display and get their questions answered by the Rabbi and people in-training to be scribes and much more
