Freistadt Fourth In 1845, not long after the settlers had arrived in this area and founded what is now Trinity Lutheran Church - Freistadt, the pastor decreed the Fourth of July should always be celebrated to honor the religious freedom they were enjoying. The church, at the corner of Freistadt and Granville Rds., has kept that tradition. This year’s celebration includes:
10:00 – 11:00 Outdoor Patriotic Church Service 11:00 – 12:30 Picnic Food, Entertainment by the Freistadt
Alte Kameraden Band and Pommersche Tanzdeel Children’s Activities Historical Site – all 12 buildings open to tour
1:00 – 1:30Parade, with Flag Raising Ceremony to follow 1:30 – 4:00Picnic continues as described above
Perennial Plant Sale at Historical Grounds
All events free, food available for purchase; $2.00 fee to park on grounds, collection begins after 11:00
