DESCRIPTION:In 1845\, not long after the settlers had arrived in this area and founded what is now Trinity Lutheran Church - Freistadt\, the pastor decreed the Fourth of July should always be celebrated to honor the religious freedom they were enjoying.  The church\, at the corner of Freistadt and Granville Rds.\, has kept that tradition. This year's celebration includes:\n\n \n\n10:00   11:00 Outdoor Patriotic Church Service \n\n11:00   12:30 Picnic Food\, Entertainment by the Freistadt \nAlte Kameraden Band and Pommersche Tanzdeel\n\nChildren's Activities \n\nHistorical Site   all 12 buildings open to tour \n1:00   1:30     Parade\, with Flag Raising Ceremony to follow\n\n1:30   4:00     Picnic continues as described above\n\nPerennial Plant Sale at Historical Grounds
