DESCRIPTION:Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church Mequon is hosting this year's 3K Life Walk for A Place of Refuge (APOR) from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday September 12. APOR is an organization that provides resources for pregnant women in need of safe housing\, supplies and counseling to address their physical and emotional care.\n\n\n\nThe highlight of the event is a 3K Walk\, designed for individuals and families. Other activities include a Health Fair and a Silent Auction. Participants are encouraged to seek support in the form of pledges for each kilometer completed The Health Fair provides the opportunities for attendees to learn about medications from Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy students and to have their vision screened by Thiensville-Mequon Lions Club members. The Ascension-Ozaukee Hospital Staff will demonstrate CPR and tourniquet application. The Silent Auction will be open for bidding all morning.
