About Us

Mequon United Methodist Church's motto is ''Open Doors, Open Minds, Open Hearts.'' All who care to worship and fellowship are welcome. Sunday morning services begin at 9:30am, with Sunday School for children up to 6th grade beginning at 8:45am. Middle School Children and HS Children begin their Youth Groups/Sunday School at 10:45am. Care for infants is also available during worship service. Spiritual enrichment programs and volunteer opportunities are available to both adults and children alike.

Sonlight Child Development Center is a ministry of MUMC with child care and preschool options for children 6 weeks through 5 years old, Monday - Friday from 7am to 6pm. Sonlight has a fully licensed staff that shares over 100 years of child care experience!

Sonlight Center's goal is to develop the whole child, helping each child to grow in spirit, mind and body, and to build relationships through support, education, and resources for the entire family. Sonlight is unique in its ability to provide outdoor learning experiences for students with our on-site nature area, with several paths and a butterfly garden. Our monthly ''Nature Lady'' program allows the children to explore their five senses in the wonders of nature.

Wholesome nutritious foods, completely free of trans fats, are catered and served daily. Brochures and additional information are available at the Sonlight or Church offices, or mailed upon request. Tours of the facilities and interviews with the teachers and staff by prospective parents are welcomed at any time!
